Spicy Gochujang Garlic Ramen Delight
Ingredients
- 8 ounces ramen noodles (instant or fresh)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sherry vinegar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Boil the Noodles
Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil on the stove over high heat. Add the ramen noodles and cook until tender, approximately 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Sauce
In a medium skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute.
3. Create the Flavor Base
Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the gochujang, honey, sherry vinegar, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to meld the flavors.
4. Combine Noodles with Sauce
Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet, tossing them to coat thoroughly in the sauce. Cook for about 2 minutes, ensuring the noodles are heated through and evenly coated.
5. Add Fresh Herbs
Remove from heat and fold in the chopped cilantro and sliced scallions. Serve immediately, garnished with additional cilantro and scallions if desired.
