Spicy Ramen-Seasoned Fries Delight
Ingredients
- 1 pound frozen fries
- 1 packet ramen seasoning
- 1 chicken or beef bouillon cube, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Oil for deep frying (enough to submerge fries)
Instructions
1. Preparation: Begin by preparing your deep-frying setup. Fill a deep fryer or sizeable heavy-bottomed pot with enough oil to submerge the fries, and heat to 350°F (175°C).
2. Seasoning Preparation: In a small bowl, combine the ramen seasoning, crumbled bouillon cube, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, gochugaru, and red chili flakes. Mix thoroughly to create a uniform spice blend.
3. Frying the Fries: Once the oil reaches the desired temperature, carefully add the frozen fries to the pot. Deep fry the fries in batches to avoid overcrowding, maintaining the oil temperature. Fry each batch for about 4-6 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate, allowing any excess oil to drain.
4. Seasoning the Fries: While the fries are still hot, generously sprinkle the prepared seasoning over them. Toss the fries to ensure an even coating of the spicy mix.
5. Serve: Arrange the seasoned fries on a serving platter and serve immediately for the ultimate midnight snack experience.
