Succulent Five-Meat Apple-Infused Meatloaf Delight
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 lb ground veal
- 1 large apple, peeled and grated
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Meat Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey, ground pork, and ground veal.
3. Incorporate the Add-Ins
Add the grated apple, chopped onion, minced garlic, and breadcrumbs to the meat mixture.
4. Bind the Ingredients
In a smaller bowl, beat the eggs together with the milk, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Pour this egg mixture into the meat mixture and use your hands to gently combine the ingredients until just mixed. Avoid over-mixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
5. Shape the Meatloaf
Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf approximately 9x5 inches in size.
6. Top with Ketchup
Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf to create a glaze.
7. Bake the Meatloaf
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour (PT1H), until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the loaf is firm.
8. Rest and Serve
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes (PT10M). Slice and serve warm.
