Sweet and Tangy Glazed Banana Medley
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Bananas
Start by peeling and slicing 4 ripe bananas into even, bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
2. Create the Glaze
In a medium non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture begins to simmer.
3. Cook the Bananas
Gently add the sliced bananas to the skillet, ensuring they are well-coated with the sweet and tangy glaze. Sprinkle over 1/8 teaspoon of salt to balance the flavors.
4. Simmer
Reduce the heat to low and allow the bananas to cook for 5-7 minutes, gently stirring occasionally. The bananas should become tender while the glaze thickens and slightly caramelizes.
5. Serve
Remove the skillet from the heat. Carefully transfer the glazed bananas to a serving dish, ensuring to drizzle any remaining glaze over the top for maximum flavor.
