Ultimate BLT with Crunchy Chip Accent
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup salt and vinegar chips
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 slices of bread
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly and pat them dry. Slice the tomatoes into medium-thick rounds. Set aside.
2. Cook the Bacon: Heat a pan on medium heat. Place the slices of bacon in the pan and fry them until they are crisp and golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Turn the bacon slices occasionally to ensure they cook evenly. Once done, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
3. Toast the Bread: In the same pan, remove excess bacon fat, leaving only a slight residue for flavor. Place the slices of bread in the pan and toast each side until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from the pan.
4. Assemble the Sandwich: Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted slice of bread. Layer two slices of bacon on one piece of bread. Next, add 2 leaves of lettuce and tomato slices evenly across the bacon.
5. Add the Crunch: Gently crush the salt and vinegar chips and sprinkle them over the tomato slices for added texture and flavor.
6. Finish the Sandwich: Top with the remaining slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, to complete the sandwich.
