- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices American cheese

Instructions



1. Prepare the Bread:
- Lay out the slices of sourdough bread on a clean surface.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice. This will be the outer side for grilling, ensuring a golden, crispy crust.

2. Assemble the Sandwiches:
- On the non-mayonnaise side of four slices of bread, place one slice of cheddar cheese followed by one slice of American cheese. Top each with another slice of bread, mayonnaise side facing out.

3. Heat the Pan:
