- 4 slices of American cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
1. Prepare the Bread: Lay all four slices of white sandwich bread on a cutting board. Spread one tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly over one side of each slice using a butter knife. The mayonnaise side will become the crispy, golden exterior when grilled.
2. Assemble the Sandwiches: Place two slices of American cheese on the un-mayonnaised side of two slices of bread. Top each with the remaining bread slices, mayonnaise side facing out.
