Ultimate Grilled Chicken & Ham Burger with Avocado and Sriracha Mayo



Ingredients



- 4 potato buns
- 1/4 cup Sriracha mayo
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 4 slices ham
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups arugula
- 2 grilled chicken breasts, sliced
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 1/4 cup special sauce (your favorite burger sauce)
- 8 slices pickles
- 1 cup caramelized onions

Instructions



1. Prepare the Grill:
- Preheat the charcoal grill for medium-high heat to around 375°F. Allow the coals to become ashen before starting to cook.

2. Toast the Buns:
- Lightly butter the cut sides of the potato buns.
- Place them on the grill, cut side down, for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted. Remove and set aside.

3. Grill the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Grill for approximately 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

4. Cook the Ham and Cheddar:
- Place the ham slices onto the grill and warm for about 1 minute on each side.
- Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each ham slice during the last 30 seconds to melt slightly.
- Transfer to a plate.

5. Fry the Eggs:
- Use a grill-safe skillet. Add a touch of oil and crack the eggs into the skillet.
- Fry eggs to desired doneness, preferably sunny-side-up. Remove from heat.

6. Assemble the Burgers:
- Spread Sriracha mayo on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- Add lettuce leaf, a few slices of sliced grilled chicken, and arugula.
- Place 2 pickle slices, and on top of that, the melted cheddar cheese-ham slice.
- Gently rest a fried egg on top of the ham.
- Add sliced avocado and caramelized onions.
- Drizzle a small amount of special sauce.
- Top with the other half of the bun.

7. Serve:
- Secure each burger with a skewer if needed.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the flavorful layers of this gourmet delight.
