Ingredients
- 1 package Red Velvet Cake Mix (18.25 oz)
- 1 package Instant Red Velvet Pudding (3.4 oz)
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup Canola Oil
- 4 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Whole Milk
- 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Butter, softened
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Christmas Sprinkles
- 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Crushed Oreos
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Curls
- 1/2 cup White Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Heath Bits
- 2 tbsp Colored Sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Prepare the Red Velvet Cake Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Red Velvet Cake Mix, Instant Red Velvet Pudding, sour cream, canola oil, eggs, whole milk, and 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes or until well blended.
3. Bake the Cake Layers
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
4. Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated and creamy.
5. Assemble the Cake
Once the cake layers are completely cool, place the first layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese frosting over it. Sprinkle some mini chocolate chips and crushed Oreos on top.
6. Continue Layering
Place the second cake layer on top and repeat with frosting, mini chocolate chips, and crushed Oreos. Add the third layer and cover the entire cake with the remaining frosting.
7. Decorate the Cake
Press chocolate curls onto the sides of the cake. Sprinkle the top with white chocolate chips, Heath bits, Christmas sprinkles, and colored sprinkles for a festive touch.
8. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together perfectly.
