Vibrant Stir-Fried Pasta with Ham, Vegetables, and Herbs
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
- 1 cup cooked ham, diced
- 4 slices bacon, diced
- 1 cup asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1/4 cup basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pasta:
Cook 1/2 pound of pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Bacon and Ham:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until it is crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
