Zesty Tequila Lime Cilantro Glazed Nuts



Ingredients



- 1/4 cup Tequila
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Raw Nuts (Almonds or Cashews recommended)

Instructions



1. Prepare the Nuts:
- In a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, toast the nuts lightly for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Once they are fragrant and slightly brown, remove them from the skillet and set aside.

2. Create the Glaze:
- In the same skillet, add 1/4 cup of tequila, 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Stir the mixture constantly over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture starts to thicken slightly, about 5 minutes.

3. Combine and Cook:
- Add the toasted nuts back into the skillet, stirring to coat them evenly with the tequila-lime glaze.
- Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring continuously to ensure the glaze evenly coats each nut.

4. Add Fresh Cilantro:
- Toss in 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh cilantro, stirring to distribute the cilantro evenly among the glazed nuts.

5. Cool and Serve:
- Remove the glazed nuts from the skillet and spread them in a single layer on a piece of parchment paper to cool for about 15 minutes. This will allow the glaze to set and harden.
- Once cool, serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
